Dabur India, the largest company of Ayurvedic products in India, is again in controversy regarding the composition and labeling of the product.

This time this dispute is not happening in India but on foreign land. Many Dabur India consumers in the US and Canada have filed a lawsuit against Dabur over claims that its hair relaxer product contains cancer-causing ingredients.

According to the information received and sources, three foreign subsidiaries of Dabur India, Dabur International Limited, Darmo Viva Skin Essential Inc., and Namaste Laboratories are facing lawsuits in the state courts of America and Canada. Many products of these companies have been accused of containing cancer causing elements.

According to sources, such chemical elements have been found in the hair relaxer products manufactured by these companies. Due to which the possibility of cancer of genital organs like ovary and uterus increases. And other health problems may also occur.

This complaint has been filed by consumers in many courts of America and Canada. Overall, till now 5400 cases have come to light in both the federal states, which are being included in the form of Multi District litigation as per the local law. Which can be understood as MDL (Multi District litigation).
However, Dabur India has also accepted these lawsuits and has fielded its lawyers in the court strongly opposing the consumer’s complaint.
Dabur India and its foreign subsidiary company have claimed that. The claims made by the consumers are not scientific in any way and these cases have been filed on the basis of incomplete research reports.
Dabur is a name to be taken with pride among Indian companies. But it is not that there have been controversies regarding Dabur India’s products on foreign soil. Even before this, there has been a controversy in India regarding Dabur honey and it has also been said that Dabur honey is adulterated.

Whereas outside India, 5400 cases were registered on the defect of a product of an Indian company. Here question marks arise on our administrative systems
